Hello! I'm Chelsea, and I'm a postdoctoral fellow at Columbia University, working with Kevin Ochsner in the SCAN lab. I received a Ph.D. in Social Psychology and Behavioral and Evolutionary Neuroscience at Cornell University, where I worked primarily with David Pizarro, Tom Gilovich, and BJ Casey.

My research focuses on how emotion influences judgment and decision-making across multiple domains, including moral behavior, thinking about the self (and others), and consumer decision-making. To investigate these processes, I utilize multiple methods across both adult and developmental populations, including functional neuroimaging, implicit and explicit behavioral measures, and large-scale field studies.

When not in the lab, I can generally be found watching baseball, looking for the best ice cream in NYC, or running in Prospect Park

To discuss these things (and more!) I can be reached at ch2989@columbia.edu.
